Taking Off to the Airport

Last night I took off to the airport to go and see what I could find. I have always been a huge fan of airplanes, airports, and air travel in general, so this was definitely something that I was very interested to see how it would turn out. As it would happen, there is a gravel pile to the north side of the north runway at Vancouver International Airport, that is PERFECT for viewing planes coming in to land on the north runway. I managed to get a bunch of images that I was very happy with. Below are two of my favourites!

Airbus A319 Landing at YVR
An Air Canada Rouge Airbus 319 landing. Using a longer shutter speed and the pan head on my tripod, I was able to catch this airplane in motion and completely blur out the background.
Boeing 747 Landing at YVR Airport
A EVA Air Boeing 747 landing with Mt. Baker, Washington VERY prominent in the background. I love the many views that you can take in around Vancouver where Mt. Baker is fully visible in the background!

I will be posting more images from last night on my website, as well as my instagram account, so head over there for more and to follow along!
